Climbing

I live in Gardiner, NY — at the base of the Shawangunks. The Gunks are horizontal roofs over a carriage road, quartz conglomerate, and grades that are stiff by tradition. I've been climbing here for years.

This spring I'm running a structured campaign to send multiple 5.12s. Eight months of deliberate training — finger strength, power-endurance — built for this rock and this season.

The Gunks reward patience, footwork, and reading gear placements under a roof. It's technical, physical, and committing in a way that keeps me hooked.
